The good, bad, and fugly books I've read.
The Song of Achilles - Madeline Miller

An engaging, quick read despite the fact that the POV character, Patroclus (Achilles' main squeeze) is terribly passive, nothing much happens, and the majority of the narrative is given over to lovey-dovey navel gazing (which usually makes me want to scoop my eyes out with a spork). *Snerk* I'm not exactly sure why I liked it. Maybe I have a higher tolerance for schmaltz with M/M romance. I'm going with "author has a natural storyteller's voice." Sure, why not?
